Arrive in Moreton-in-Marsh, a thriving market town packed with antique shops, art galleries, tea shops and restaurants.
Enjoy lunch with other members of the tour and spend the afternoon on your e-bike on a short familiarisation ride to Stow-on-the- Wold, 10 miles/16 km.
Overnight in Moreton-in-Marsh.
Explore some classic Cotswolds countryside and enjoy a trip to the Cotswold Distillery on a circular tour, followed by a light lunch at Whichford Pottery.
Return to Moreton via the ancient Rollright Stones and Chastleton House, location for BBC TV’s award winning "Wolf Hall”.
The tour to the Saxon town of Winchcombe starts with a ride to Chipping Campden, a beautiful town with its much photographed market hall.
Here, we’ll stop for a light lunch together and spend time exploring this remarkably well preserved settlement before continuing to Broadway Tower Country Park; worth a detour for the amazing views of the Cotswolds.
The route passes through the lavender fields at Snowshill and down Snowshill into Broadway, another chocolate-box village of the Cotswolds. The route flattens along the base of the hills and continues through the picturesque village of Stanton and past the magnificent Stanway House, before arriving in Winchcombe.
Winchcombe is one of the most popular walking destinations in the Cotswolds, so you have a choice to join a guided walk from Guiting Power back to Winchcombe - 6 miles/9.6 km
Alternatively, do a short, but hilly cycle tour that is a loop through some of the smaller settlements in the north Cotswolds - 17.4 miles/28 km
Both groups will join together for a light lunch in Winchcombe and then spend the afternoon at Sudeley Castle – a must see destination on the edge of Winchcombe.
Today, your route will take you through the charming villages of Guiting Power, Lower Swell and the Slaughters, all of which will offer ideal chocolate box photos.
There will be ample opportunities to stop for refreshments, from the ‘post office’ in Guiting Power, offering superb tea and cake, to the wonderful Slaughters Country Inn which will be your base for the next two days.
Explore Bourton-on-the-Water in the afternoon, just as the day visitors leave, and marvel at its quaintness. then return to the Slaughter’s Country Inn.
Today’s cycle route will take you through some stunning "undiscovered” villages to Burford and back through Bibury, described by William Morris as "England’s prettiest village”, on quiet country lanes with ever-changing vistas.
Your last day’s ride meanders between the Windrush and Evenlode valleys, through Swinbrook, Shipton-under-Wychwood, and Bruern until your reach Kingham.
Relax and enjoy this high profile Cotswold village renowned for "Daylesford Organics” and its Michelin starred cousin, "The Wild Rabbit”.
