Bath is a designated World Heritage Site with stunning architecture and fabulous attractions. Highlights include Bath Abbey, the Royal Crescent and Circus, The Roman Baths and Pump Room, and the Jane Austen Museum.
This tour will take you through some of the most quintessentially English towns and villages. The market town of Bradford-on-Avon has a wonderful setting on the banks of the Kennet and Avon canal. The villages of Lacock and Castle Combe are both strong contenders for the title of prettiest village in England. Both are packed with history and character; highlights include the impressive 13th century Lacock Abbey and the Fox Talbot Museum and gallery in Lacock, along with the 14th century Market Cross and St Andrew’s Church in Castle Combe. Both villages have featured regularly as filming locations, most famous appearances include Downton Abbey, the BBC’s Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Steven Spielberg's War Horse, Stardust, and The Wolfman.
The walking routes fall nothing short of impressive either, as they lead along picturesque canals, rolling countryside, meadows, and the gorgeous By Brook Valley.

“…this was the loveliest travel experience we've ever had. The walk was utterly magical. It seemed that every climb over a style opened up a new gorgeous vista, like a jewel box. We got unbelievably lucky with the weather - that didn't hurt - but the hotels, the people, the food, the climbs and the descents, also gave us daily happiness. Even getting lost and puzzling over the map was part of the adventure. Thanks for facilitating, and we will be back for another journey.”

We had a great time, met neat people, ate good food, and enjoyed it enormously, just as we did last year in the Cotswolds.
Our friends Rick and Beth did I think Painswick to Bath with you guys just after we returned home – they loved it. Glad we recommended you to them.
Walking in the UK is such a unique experience. For us in the States, it’s like walking through Masterpiece Theatre sets! You see so much that most who simply go to London never see – the countryside, village life, the people, the pubs! It’s really a perfect way to see England.
So, thanks again for arranging another great trip!
