Wendy and I have just returned from our trip to England and our eight day walk, the best of the Cotswolds.
We would like to thank you for all of your efforts on our behalf. Our trip and our walks went very smoothly, if not always easily and dry.
We appreciate your attention to details which ensured everything was in place for us as we left each morning and showed up each afternoon. There were a couple of unexpected changes and you notified us in good time with the appropriate amendments alleviating any possible stress.
This was a memorable holiday and experience for us and we will not hesitate to recommend such a holiday and your company to our friends.
Thank you.

Thank you for a most wonderful time on our recent 7 day/8 night adventure in the Cotswolds! We absolutely loved it!
…
I will certainly send others your way -- that first week of Sept was one of the best vacations all of us have ever had!
I wrote a review for Trip Advisor which I am a member of... Thanks again!

We enjoyed ourselves immensely in your beautiful part of the world! The alluring beauty of the Cotswolds has left a lasting impression of complete relaxation and contentment as we immersed ourselves in the daily walks.
The weather was absolutely fabulous (we were fortunate) and the various villages and towns we visited and stayed in were superb. You, Cotswold Walks, organized the tour brilliantly with all reservations, luggage transfers, clear directions and comprehensive recommendations on lunch & dining options, local points of interest and such.
Per your suggestion we had dinner reservations for every night booked in advance and this came in quite handy.
Our favorite villages were Broadway, Chipping Campden, Bourton on the Water and Stow on the Wold. Accommodations at the Lansdowne Inn in Bourton on the Water and the Windrush House in Broadway stood out for their quality and host friendliness.
The walk from Guiting Power to Winchcombe was the most scenic along with the one from Broadway to Chipping Campden. We sampled real (cask) ales in many pubs and they were all excellent. The Crown and Trumpet in Broadway stood out for having an old pub ambience. The James Martin Grill at the Lygon Arms in Broadway, the Rose Tree restaurant and L'Anatra kitchen in Bourton on the Water were superb for dinner fare.
We hope to be back in a few years!

We are now home after our Cotswold walk and a short stay in Dublin!
I want to thank each of you for your incredible service. We enjoyed the walk each and every day and found the accommodations great - especially the Olive Branch in Broadway.
We didn’t use the GPS system but would recommend it and will use it in the future.
At 81 years old I am a little technically challenged and feel more comfortable with the paper version but in areas that had small detours or slight changes the GPS is the answer.
Thank you again and at every opportunity we will recommend your company.

One of the best trips ever. Many thanks to Adam for preparing my trip and securing wonderful accommodations. The bottom line is that I would highly recommend your company to family and friends interested in hiking the Cotswolds. So glad my neighbours recommended your group to me several months ago. Again, a delightful trip in a wonderful part of the world.

We enjoyed our trip very much and found Barbara to be particularly helpful and excellent with all details. Your company was also very accommodating when we wanted to spend one less night in The Cotswolds and you arranged transportation from chipping Campden to London. The B&Bs were all adequate and clean. The one in Broadway was particularly nice.

We had an excellent time on our walking tour. The written directions were clear and the app was a helpful backup. The Cotswold Walks team was helpful in guiding us to the right walk and in accommodating our special request for a side trip off the route to Kelmscott Manor. We enjoyed meeting our fellow walkers, but seeing a big group on a guided tour confirmed for us that self-guided is the better way to go. We had a wonderful trip and didn’t want it to end.

I just want to say that I would like to commend your Company for an excellently run event. We were very lucky to be in Cotswolds when the weather was perfect and everything to do with the running of it went well. The assistance you gave when one of our members found she wasn’t up to the walk was appreciated. The maps and App were really clear.

My husband and I completed the lovely circular route in the picture perfect Cotswolds in June. We started and ended in Moreton-In-Marsh. This was our 8th self guided walk and perhaps the best. We’ve used several companies to organize walks and also done the planning ourselves. Cotswold Walks supplied maps and descriptive directions that were excellent. The addition of GPS routes with Ride made the walk that much easier.
The various overnight stays were also great. My favorite was Russell’s on Broadway. Absolutely fabulous! Also excellent was the Manor House in Moreton-In-Marsh.
We look forward to our next walk with you.

We had an absolutely fantastic holiday -- it exceeded our expectations in every way. I plan to leave a 5 star review on Trip Advisor.
Some things that really stood out: Everything went so smoothly -- the accommodations were terrific and the route notes were easy to follow. Our luggage always beat us to the next accommodation. The planning was absolutely flawless. I loved the written route notes and my husband loved the app. Having both really helped resolve any ambiguities.

Thank you so much for organizing such a great walk for us. We generally had a wonderful time. We were especially impressed with the Ride with GPS program. We managed to get ourselves lost several times with the booklet, but Ride with GPS saved us every time. We loved the scenery around Farmcote and the Slaughters and dinner at Stowe Lodge was a real highlight. Although we saw many other hikers when we were in towns, we loved the fact that when walking we seemed to have the trails to ourselves.

Just wanted to thank you for all of your help and advice for our trip. We thoroughly enjoyed every part of it. The maps and the app were extremely helpful. We never got lost! The B&Bs were all lovely and our drivers right on time and very helpful.
Also thank you for the gorgeous weather😊

Route notes were excellent, complete, and easy to follow. The app was also excellent, a terrific way to check to make sure we were on the right path. One of us preferred using the paper route notes; the other preferred using the app. So, perfect for both of us.
The route was beautiful, with enough variety to keep it interesting, and enough time at each destination to explore.
We enjoyed the Tokien/Lord of the Rings connections.

My husband and I had a lovely time in the Cotswolds. The weather was perfect for hiking.
The route notes were terrific. My husband was the navigator, and we only made one mistake on the way to Upper Slaughter. We ended up in Lower Slaughter first, realized our mistake, and then just walked a different way to Upper. The photos in the guide book that indicated 'here' or 'not here' were most helpful. We never really needed to use the Riding app, but I tried it out for fun to see if I (navigationally challenged), could manage with it, and I did. Along the route we met other hikers that used different tour companies. Our route notes helped them out when they were confused and not sure where to go. Kudos to you.
And thank you to the luggage man! Our bags were always waiting for us at our accommodations. We never had to worry about anything.
And thank you for the email about the shops and restaurants being closed for the Queen's funeral. Very helpful.

Thank you for helping us navigate the beautiful Cotswolds during September 2022. It was a glorious time with almost no rain, vibrant colours, and berries galore along the trails. We loved the well-maintained walking paths through raw country fields and woodlands, with just enough opportunity along the way to investigate a small village where a centuries-old pub would draw us into a cosy booth for a sandwich and a sample of local ale or cider. The phone app you provided gave clear guidance of the route and was helpful in a hundred ways.
Every Brit we spoke with seemed determined to outdo the previous in courtesy and helpfulness. And, while there exist horror stories of British cuisine, you will get no such tales from us. The Pubs and Hotels served delicious food, and the goal of walking off more calories than we consumed failed miserably. Conversations with other walkers made us wish we had endless days to share stories or cultivate friendships; it was often hard to go our separate ways.
Your assistance in organizing our accommodations and walking routes was invaluable, saving us countless hours of planning in locations of which you had intimate knowledge, but we knew almost nothing. And the service that advanced our luggage worked flawlessly; never a problem. Our forgetfulness that resulted in a missed taxi was gently handled and our additional walk for the day was lamented not at all. We enjoyed a double dose of resplendent Cotswold countryside, and the extra images of heritage houses, quaint villages, and historic churches continue to remind us daily that we hope to return soon and experience it all again.

Back home safe and sound, but it's taking a bit of time to catch up to reality.
First of all, I want to thank you and everyone in Cotswold Walks for organizing our walking tour. I absolutely love our holiday and more importantly all the walking we embarked upon. The weather God was also smiling upon us as he graced us with perfect days for walking. Mind you, there was one day of showers and wind but better than a downpouring rain.
Very hard to choose memorable moments as they all are on their own... but my favorite by far are the Upper and Lower Slaughter. We enjoyed it so much that we walked there twice! Stanton is also quite memorable for it complete serenity. It's the most peaceful place I've ever been!! I would gladly stay there again if given the chance.
I thought the walking trails and distance were just right...not too hard and not too easy. The details of the written directions and the pictures provided for some were extremely helpful. The GPS was reassuring to have. We probably relied on it much more than we needed. All of the accommodations are excellent! The hosts are very gracious and friendly.

Just wanted to thank you. Our trip was absolutely wonderful, we enjoyed every minute. Your group really has everything planned so well from the drivers, the bnbs, their hosts and breakfasts, the pubs, the villages, the history, the countryside and the booklets we received with maps. Also every place we went for dinner was delicious. We also met so, so many nice people along the way. I have been recommending this trip to everyone I know who loves to travel.
We may have to do it again at some time, maybe another walk through the Cotswolds, although we loved this one so much. Thank you again for everything. You were always so helpful!
