Key Points

Please make sure you wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

Clothing: The saying goes that there is no such thing as bad weather just inappropriate clothing. It is true you can experience many different weather conditions in a single day whilst walking in the Cotswolds, so bringing light layers that are easy to add and take off will keep you the most comfortable. It is best to bring a waterproof jacket and wear quick drying clothes.

Footwear: It is advisable to wear a comfortable well worn-in pair of Gore-tex or leather boots that will provide ankle support over rough ground and keep your feet dry. Socks: Wearing two pairs of socks, one thin underneath a thicker outer sock, is a good way to avoid blisters, as it stops your feet from rubbing in your boots. Other suggestion is rubbing Vaseline into your feet before putting on your socks, for the same results.

Rucksack: It is advisable to carry a rucksack for packing away any spare layers of clothing, and to carry adequate water, sun screen and any food.

Our mission is to make sure you enjoy your tour. We understand that the need to “get away from it all” and take pleasure in some much-needed time in the great outdoors is more acute than ever before. At the same time, we all need to remember to look after ourselves, each other and the environment. Please make sure you follow social distancing and handwashing guidelines and any specific instructions from your guide, staff at cafes, pubs, attractions, etc. These measures are in place to keep you and others as safe as possible, so please be mindful and respectful of the efforts everyone has made to minimise risks.

- Please be patient, tolerant, and respectful towards other walkers and business owners who have worked hard to welcome you back as safely as possible.
- Please make sure to have masks/face coverings with you in case they are required.
- Please be mindful of your own health and if you feel unwell before your holiday, do not come to avoid putting others at risk.
- Please make sure you have a bank card as most places will require a contactless payment method.
- Take hand sanitiser with you for those occasions where hand washing facilities are not readily available.
- Please keep the Cotswolds looking beautiful by putting all rubbish in the nearest bins or taking it with you if bins are full/not available.
- Stay on designated footpaths and follow directions from your guide.
